About Us

The Bren Project is a charitable organisation based in Chester offering people with learning disabilities the opportunity to experience supportive work placements throughout Cheshire.

We want the people that we support to enjoy the experience, feel comfortable and accomplished, and take pride in becoming part of the workforce.

What We Offer

Since 2007 we have been running projects that offer people with learning disabilities supported employment opportunities in a wide range of working environments.

All beneficiaries are provided with one to one Job Coach support in a vocational area of their own choosing. Read more about what we offer ...

Our Aims and Vision

Our mission is to support and inspire people with learning disabilities to experience and enter the world of work.

We aim to facilitate this by providing unequalled one to one support linked to individually tailored work experience placements. Read more about our aims and vision ...

Our History

The Bren Project was established in 2005 as a registered charity and company limited by guarantee.

The charity is named in memory of Brenda Godwin, a leading light and inspiration to many in the world of supported employment. Sadly, Brenda passed away in 2004.
